Recognized by sight: Growing in tight clumps, likely from parasitized sclerotia of Helvella lacunosa which would have been mycorrhizal with Douglas-fir or Pinus nearby. This is a fairly common fungus in my area, but unless the sclerotia is exposed, difficult to identify with certainty. Looks like the recent wood chips have covered the sclerotia here, leaving only exposed fruiting of Clitocybe sclerotoidea.
