Observation 35078: Xylariaceae Tul. & C. Tul.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Growing on Live Hickory. White type of porous fungi growing up the tree where the bark was missing. This covered the whole tree but tree appears to be alive. Pore surfaces whit and gray underneath if scratched. texture soft in the center but becoming harder towards the outer margin.

That observation looks similar to this but the pores in this observation are about 1mm and in just random order. Im not sure what this is Ill have to reserch the xyleriaceae a little further. use it as a could be
