reviewed several Lentinula descriptions and can’t find mention of what appears to be a pretty common character in the genus: the discoloring of the lamellae to the reddish brown seen here. The genus isn’t treated in Pegler’s 1983 Lentinus monograph due to it being monomitic. The other references so far consulted include:
