How do you know if you are a real mushroom hunter. You have mushrooms growing out of your chairs/ This is a small shelf like fungus growing from the bottom frame of a reclining chair that sits out side. It gets sat in a lot by me, especially after a long day of wondering around the woods. This year I noticed these guys sprouting out. They are actually coming from the wood frame through the material. I have Id them as some sort of a Trametes sp. Perhaps T.pubescens. they have a wavy upper surfaces leathery and a pore surfacs..

I have observed this species close up very often usually from a reclined position

Until you enlarge it….Cool.
The pores look too large for Trametes, which has very small pores.
