Observation 35125: Opegrapha Ach.
When: 2010-03-27
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Locality: 35°37’14.76"N, 83°40’39.11"W, el. 524 m

Substrate and habitat: Jason Hollinger found this script lichen a week ago growing on the bole of an American Beech, Fagus grandifolia, among the long-abandoned Elkmont summer homes, so I came back for a few photos.

Identification: Opegrapha seems to be a reasonable hypothesis for this fine script lichen, absent any additional information on spores or chemistry.
