They started very light brown. These are very mature. Thats all I can say.

who cares what its name is, as long as it tastes good! it looks to be an early morel year in general. exact timing of fruiting is becoming less and less valuable as a method of ID.

how bout those “spring” amanitas…in November?!

is that a really tiny cell phone, or some really big morels??!

these are much darker than the M. rufobrunnea I have seen.
