Found growing on unknown wood twig in mixed coniferous forest.
This little fungus stood out with the cap color, but I was surprised when I found it attached to the twig. Stipe is very cottony as was the gill covering.

Recognized by sight: I should have guessed it was stropharia ambigua since there were a few nearby earlier this spring…

I’d call it Stropharia ambiqua. I still might.
