Recognized by sight: Radially lined yellowish/brownish caps with decurrent whitish gills. On wood.
Used references: Lincoff and Roody each list Xeromphalina campanella as a type that appears in spring. Lincoff mentions there are at least 7 Xeromphalina species found in NA. Type of host wood is useful.
