Notes: Actually Boletus “marshii” in Mushrooms Demystified. As Arora says on page 525, the European Boletus albidus has a reticulated stalk and EVERY book that shows a photo or watercolor depicts it with reticulations. The California bolete shown here has a smooth stalk.
