Observation 44664: Trichopeziza Fuckel

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Growing on herbaceous stems in a compost heap. I don’t remember the name of the plant, but it’s a relative to Urtica..

The largest, single specimen is 1 mm broad, the others much smaller. Sulphur yellow hairs and a pale greyish disc.

Microphotos show the hairs in 400x magnification.

Recognized by sight: Maybe T. leucophaea, I’m not sure if the current name is Trichopeziza or Belonidium on this one.
Based on microscopic features: Incrusted, multiseptate hairs, unfortunately still no mature asci
