Observation 44730: “Deuteromycota” R.T. Moore

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Very small scattered growths at base of dead stump. Growth appears to commence in a circular shape and then from hairy sections grows into a definable shape as a cluster. All were white and appeared to be attached to the old roots of the stump.
Examples shown here were about 2mm in size up to 4-5mm before joining other growths. I think these examples could be Hyalopeziza aff. alni but will leave it up to the concensus.
