Observation 44769: Gymnopus (Pers.) Roussel
When: 2010-03-04
No herbarium specimen

Notes: I have photographed similar fungi to this before in the same area without having it identified. I have included a root shot to see if this helps. The images have been reduced but the resolution is good. The cap and stipe both were wet and slightly sticky. The whole specimen was very delicate. The colours are true and without flash.

a Gymnopus Ian. Used to be called Collybia. This is one of those tough-textured ones.
