Observation 44794: Thelephora Ehrh. ex Willd.
When: 2010-03-18
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This coral fungi was incredibly difficult to present with good light and resolution and still remain true to the colouring. I took many images to try and provide the best image possible. The dead and decaying body in front, attached to the fungi had originally been part of the whole fungi I thought.

Thanks for the ID Irene. I had more time to look at the links. What I did not realise was that my specimen was so young. I think the dead section in front put me off. Thought it was fully mature. Happy now, chow, kk

I found this checklist:
http://www.rbg.vic.gov.au/...

No Thelephora anthocephala there, but 16 others :-)
