The reason for my thinking that this is Ganoderma tsugae …
because it is growing an same conifer tree , where last year,I found dozens of them

It might be a Ganoderma, but is not G. tsugae which is common in my area and which I have grown. That species always has a stipe, usually varnish-colored, and arising out of the wood or from buried roots, especially of Tsugae stumps, but sometimes from other species as well, as Red alder. Usually has a bright red to dull maroon-red cap and stipe, which I don’t see here.
