Observation 4511: Gymnopus subpruinosus (Murrrill) Desjardin, Halling & Hemmes
When: 2007-10-18
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Several fruiting in garden mulch containing wood chips. Spores are white. According to an online dictionary pruinose means having a white, waxy, powdery bloom on the surface. According to Mykoweb I’m supposed to see this on the gill edges. I don’t. Nonetheless I’m sticking with my ID here. The specimen in Images 7334 and 7335 sat in my refrigerator for several days, where they apparently revived.
