Brown on stem

The darker coloration on the stem is a remnant of the very fine partial veil. None of the mushrooms have dropped spores. Hopefully I’ll get one under the scope in a day or so.

These mushrooms also failed to drop any spores. I think they are sterile.

looks more like that of a Pholiota but there is a section of Psathyrella with reddish brown spores. Psathyrella connissans is one example.
