Observation 45348: “Deuteromycota” R.T. Moore
When: 2010-05-13
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This small fungi was growing on a moss or fern covered stump. I have taken several photos to show the fungi size and colouring. It was woody when cut. The texture throughout was woody. There was no aroma or sticky areas.

Roy, as I originally thought, and you seem to agree, that the chances of this being a parasitized specimen is more than likely. I must admit that I was hoping for a different consensus. I think that the truth is the hardest to accept. So will go with the conclusion. Chow, kk.
