I haven’t actually. But the collection I found here was fairly large, and I’ve got a small pile of them staring at me at the end of the table here. They are large and clean looking, and fairly meaty. At the SMG meeting last night, people were ooh, and aahing about the ones I brought in (and then gave away)… I just might give then a try. But I’ll tell you about it a private message…

but did you eat them? I understand that they are a particularly choice and common edible species, and i have been curious about them for a while. They sometimes arrive in our local mushroom bins, but by the time they have traveled across the ocean, they are usually no longer very appetizing. ;)
