WHAT IS A HAWTHORN-SPECIFIC XYLARIA DOING GROWING ON A CACAO POD IN ECUADOR???

it is cacao after all. about 2/3’s the size of a bowling ball. kinda cool to think about it as though it were only the size of a seed though.
