Observation 45763: Exidia recisa (Ditmar) Fr.
When: 2010-05-23
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This mushroom does not have a stipe (stem) and grows attached to the tree, it is jelly-like (soft and wet at touch), dark brown and wrinkled. The clusters were sometimes larger than 10 cm of diameter. It has no odor. The specimen in reality looks much darker than in the photo. Because of that, I tend to call it Tremella sp. instead of Tremella foliacea.
