Notes: This mushroom was growing from leaf-litter on a dry flat hill top under oak and sassafras.

but it looks a lot like Marasmius strictipes which I usually see clustered and way smaller.

Pluteus admirabilis, except for the white stalk… But Pluteus species grow on wood. Maybe the actual substrate was buried? Spore print would be informative.
