Observation 46114: Rhodocybe gemina (Fr.) Kuyper & Noordel.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found in woody leafy soil close to a billabong.

Caps have a leathery feel.

Upon cutting, it smelled more like plant matter than a mushroom.

One character on R. gemina is that the gills in some sectors are tilted

a great deal of Rhodocybe gemina (syn: truncata)
(smell aromatic/farinaceous, taste farinaceous, spores greyish ochraceous)
