By the time this single Tuber was found, my camera had run out of photo space on my floppy disc. Sporocarp found within 2 feet of Ponderosa pine. Appears nearly mature, had nutty aroma. Peridium minutely glabrous, soil adherring, yellow-brown; gleba transluscent flesh colored with white veination; thicker white sterile areas near peridium, hard, solid. Other nearby trees: Douglas-fir, Incense cedar, Oregon White oak. Very interested with this, as it is the first Tuber I have found near pine, which is usually credited with being a common Tuber host.
