Observation 46239: Pluteus cyanopus Quel.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Beautiful blue staining at the base of specimen, growing alone on a downed branch. Free gills, no gray or blue/gray cap color, this guy was all brown. Small cap size, about the size of a nickle.

I broke the cap in two when attempting to pose it for this pic, and it had been munched on by some small beetles which you can clearly see the damage they caused.
