Observation 46371: Poria sensu lato
When: 2010-06-06
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This crust mushroom was found on the side and underside of a moist, well rotted log. It was first seen in early April and was grayish, felt smooth and moist. By early summer it was brown, but stillhad a white margin. I couldn’t decide whether the surface was a maze-gil or toothed pattern. I think it may be Coniophora puteana (Wet rot) but would appreciate more expert opinions.
