This small very soft fungus was found in clumps on a dead Chinese chestnut branch. Each shiny dark brown body was top-shaped. The upper side was quite wrinkled and the underside was an inverted cone which narrowed to a small area of attachment to the wood. It was covered by small warts. The inside was filled with amber colored jelly.
