Notes: Collected for the Yosemite Fungal Survey.
Growing near side of the trail in mostly mixed conifer woods.
They were relatively small, <3.0 cm across, and some with a short “root” but no rhizos that I could see.
There was no subgleba and the exoperidium was about 1mm thick.
The spores were appox. 4.2-4.8 microns with a short hyaline pedicel and with thin spines.
The gleba was cottony.
The capillitium did not seem to have any pores or slits.
Looking for a good name (genus and species).
