Observation 46769: Mycena (Pers.) Roussel
When: 2010-06-10
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: These were growing on woody debris/humus in mixed, mostly coniferous woods.
Small caps, up to 1.5 cm across, and dry with striations about 2/3rds of the radius.
The stem was fairly fragile but not brittle.
Couldn’t get a spore print and the few spores that I found looked amygdaliform; ~ 9.0 X 5.0 microns.
Did not see any cystidia on the gills.
Also, while they had some resemblance to Mycena haematopus, I did not detect any “bleeding”.
