Observation 46843: Cantharellus Adans. ex Fr.
When: 2010-06-12
No herbarium specimen

Notes: I believe it was Noah (amanita virosa) who told me that “cibarius” no longer applies to the NA version of the otherwise classic chanterelle. Has a new name been adopted for this popular edible mushroom? Until we get a name, I’ll continue to use “cibarius.”

This is the earliest annual date that I have ever found chanterelles. Last year I found some of these on June 14, which at that time was the earliest ever by about a week.
