Stalked mushrooms with 1" – 2" round caps. The upper surface is red with a whitish border. The olive colored undersurface is covered with relatively large, thin-walled pores. The stalk is pinkish in some areas. In cross section the cap has a 10mm white flesh layer that thins toward the margin and bruises light blue. The tube layer is about 5 mm thick (see photo #4).
