The pan on the left is beer battered Pleurotus fritters. The batter is 50% beer, 50% flour and a little salt, fried in grape seed oil. They were excellent! They were also excellent fried with butter in the pan on the right.

That photo got censored by the department of homeland security.
I was told that they were extremely good and “taste just like steak”. They were very flavorful, compared to store mushrooms.
