I think I got confused

about the only vestigial appearance of pycnidia,
but lack of cortex in some places and the deeply-incised squamules are common in C. didyma. This is probably the correct species.

Again, red pycnidia, but lacks cortex in places and might be sorediate. There are other species like that, too, though.
