Notes:
GEN: scattered in grass near pines
ST: 70×15-20mm, whitish, fibrillose, bulbous base
FL: whitish, staining rufescent in places esp near base and gills, firm
CAP: 30mm, bell-shaped, shiny smooth, usually w scattered scales from u-veil, light brown, scales same color or maybe lighter
VEIL: partial (skirt-like, white), universal (no sign at base, remnants conspicuous on cap)

Along the road to Bodie Island Lighthouse.
