Observation 48752: Cantharellus lateritius (Berk.) Singer
When: 2010-07-19
No herbarium specimen

Notes: A small light orangish-brown mushrooom found on the ground in woods. The 1 1/2" cap has a sunken center. The underside slopes down to the stalk and has a few radial wrinkles but no gills or pores. Is this a chanterelle, and if so which one?
