why is this Buchwaldoboletus lignicola with an As If! designation, Eva?

This is merely the new and currently accepted name for Boletus lignicola, which you have already agreed that this sighting resembles…seems to me, that odd as their life-style is in the bolete world, wood rotting boletes deserve their own genus!
