IMHO Boletus roxannae

is always a dead ringer for Boletus innixis EXCEPT roxannae has pale yellow pores and B. innixis has BRIGHT yellow pores. Sorry for shouting. Innixis here!

The whole specimen cut in half

is always a useful photo to see the color of the flesh from cap to stipe base and the thickness of the tubes and to see any staining reactions. Also, for me, if you include observations about smell and taste, that helps me with ID’s. But sometimes the ID just slips by…

is close to this mushroom but photos not too sharp so my ID is not too sharp either.
