Observation 49179: Entoloma conicum (Sacc.) Hesler
When: 2010-07-22
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Entoloma sp. orangey brown conical cap with pale peak, cylindrical dark brown stem cap of larger one 13 mm total height 5 cm. Spores pinkish brown, angular. I have no idea what the species is. Any help in naming it properly would be appreciated. We saw the same mushroom two days later in the next county west, Oneida.

Pardon me, but who says that “Eccilia” is an alternate name for Entoloma? Largent says it can’t even be used for what people used to call Eccilia any more.
