Recognized by sight: Cap color. I can’t see any pink or lilac coloration on the stalk, but its often just a faint dusting so it could be there and i just cant see it.

I think that xerampelina is not a good possibility.I rarely find it in this general area, I have collected it a lot north of here. This specimen had no blush on the stem and no odor. It was too wet to taste. I suspect that it may be a Russula silvicola
