Observation 4998: Postia caesia (Schrad.) P. Karst.

When: 2007-11-09

Collection location: Jackson Demonstration State Forest, Mendocino Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)

No specimen available

Notes:
These little critters appeared to have tiny grayish teeth. Darvin DeShazer said it was a polypore and it does match the description for Postia caesius down to the tiny sausage shaped spores that I finally was able to squeeze out of one.
