tawniest of the grisettes which I found while hiking in the area of Adirondack Loj. But the margin was fairly pale for about 30% of the radius. Compare with obs 50025 and 50030. I preserved two of the really pale ones, but not material seen in this obs (50033).
Is that the natural color in the cap close-up? Wow. I’m not sure if it’s amerifulva, but I have no alternative suggestion. I don’t think I’ve ever quite seen that color on an amanita! It’s lovely.
