I certainly didn’t mean to add to all the confusion we experience with mushrooms from day to day.

Is there something I can do to help on this point? Could you describe the confusion you experience with regard to fulva?

By the way, even what we now think of as the rather distinctive A. sinicoflava was once thought to be a “variety” of the European A. fulva — according to the herbarium notes of one famous American mycologist of generations past.

If we only had the time and the insight and the focus and the youthful eyesight and…
