A year ago I started working with fungi.

I’m doing my thesis for my degree as a Biologist. My thesis director is Dr. Guzman and I am working with the genus Scleroderma. Basically it is a taxonomic review. Besides I have to discuss and clarify the taxonomic status between Scleroderma and Veligaster.
Almost all fungi that I shot are deposited in the Fungal Collection of the Instituto de Ecologia, Xalapa.

I know that there are amanitas from northeastern N. America…

…in the Sierra Madre Orientale. So I am tempted to say that these photographs make me think of Amanita amerifulva Tulloss nom. prov.…but…I think it should be checked microscopically. Are you (Ehecatl chasing nanacatl) using a scope?
