I am used to seeing the stem being a bit more scaly on this species, but I think that its probably P. zapotecorum anyway. Everything else matches well and the stem is kind of scaly. If possible check microscopy. I heard that Guzman recently reduced the number of species in section Zapotecorum in Mexico from 30 to 6 so its likely it would fall under the expanded concept of P. zapotecorum.
