Found in rangeland on 1 or 2 year old cow dung. Alberta Canada in the dry foothills of the Rockies. (August)

Color- brown to gray
Gills are attached to stem

Stem:
Length 3cm to 7cm
color – brownish,
texture – Smooth
hollow/solid – mostly solid with cotton in the core
thin/thick – thin

Cap:
Diameter 2cm to 4cm
color – light brown on rim to gold brown in center, gold foil like when dry
texture – smooth
conical/spherical – spherical?
convex/concave – convex

Spore print color:
Purplish

Bruising:
no bruising
