Observation 50714: Cystolepiota pulverulenta (Huijsman) Vellinga
When: 2010-08-11
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: Found under mixed hardwoods, mostly oak and beech

Adding some micro-details:

The micro-shot is of the gill edge at 1000x in Meltzer’s. There were no cystidia obs. on the gills. The spores are ellipsoid, smooth, and not reactive with the Meltzer’s, the apr. size was 4 × 2.5 um.

Lacking cystidia, and the non-dextrinoid spores, it seems that this is Cystolepiota pulverulenta.
