Observation 5088: Boletus chrysenteron Bull.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Fruiting among oak, there are several in the same area. The pilei have pink crackles forming. Pores are small and bruised blue instantly. Yellow mycelia at base of stipe. Pileus and stipe when cut in half lengthwise, stain blue slowly and weakly. Pileus 9 cm wide, stipe 3 cm wide at apex.
