make you so sure this is Spathularia flavida?

I proposed that possibility back in 2010, but really couldn’t prove it.

could this just be an odd Spathularia flavida?

BTW, while searching the internet for images, discovered that researchers in China found a missing link between Cudonia and Spathularia! OMG.
