Observation 51905: Lactarius blennius (Fr.:Fr.) Fr.
When: 2010-08-29
Collection location: Thoiry, France [Click for map]
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found under oak, beech.

Cap and stipe viscid, latex white and unchanging, stains the gills greenish, and dries to a grey-green color, taste acrid.

Matches the description well, and says that these are mycorhizal with beech. The leaves there are mostly beech, and there is the beech nut just in front of the ’shrooms in the photo.
