Observation 52127: Crucibulum laeve (Huds.) Kambly

When: 2010-09-05

Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

45.801999° -77.136319°

Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)

No specimen available

Notes:
Found in Zone 47, which has produced these every September for years. The tiny things seem to be just forming: only one had the eggs visible and there instead of gelatin they seemed to be covered by a blanket of fuzz. It seems as if maybe the “lid” actually sinks in and dissolves to become the gel.
