Observation 52241: Cortinarius (Pers.) Gray

Found under spruce and fir.

Cap viscid, stipe non-viscid, bulbose base. Gills pallid. Context yellow in KOH, cap pink-rose in KOH.

The micro-shot is of spores from the veil at 1000x in KOH. The spores are ellipsoid, brown, warted, without a germ pore. The apr. size is 7.5 × 5 um.

Looking the Cortinarius key in Funga Nordica, I come up with nothing here. So, these are unknown to that key. This isn’t Scandinavia in any case, so I need some other sources brought to bear on these.

Looking through the Champions du Suisse tome 5, there is nothing in there either for these… strike two…
